My response to those on the Left who argue that the HK protests are against China’s colonialist and imperialist control over Hong Kong. I suggest you check out the definitions of imperialism and colonialism, which are the extension of a country’s rule over FOREIGN nations, by military force or by gaining political and economic control. Are you aware that Hong Kong is, and has always been, an integral part of China, except for when it was under British colonial rule?
